1. Data controller

The data controller for information collected through Carouzel is Charly Mrazeck, reachable at hello@getcarouzel.com.

2. Data collected

Carouzel collects the following data:

  • Identity data: name, email address, profile photo — provided during Google OAuth authentication.
  • Profile data: display name, tagline, brand color, avatar — voluntarily entered in the service.
  • Generated content: LinkedIn text input, generated slides — stored for your personal history.
  • Technical data: connection logs, IP address, browser — for security and debugging purposes.

3. Purposes of processing

Your data is used to:

  • Provide the carousel generation service
  • Maintain your production history
  • Apply your visual identity to your carousels
  • Ensure security and prevent abuse
  • Improve the service (aggregated, anonymised data)

4. Legal basis

Processing is based on the performance of the service contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) for data necessary to operate the service, and on our legitimate interests (Art. 6.1.f) for security and improvement data.

5. Sub-processors

Carouzel uses the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — Data storage (EU)
  • Anthropic — AI slide generation (USA, content data only)
  • Google — OAuth authentication
  • Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager — Analytics (USA), only with your consent
  • PostHog — Product analytics (EU), only with your consent

6. Retention period

Your data is retained for the duration of your use of the service, plus 3 years after your last login. Deleted carousels are removed immediately.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights over your data:

  • Right of access, rectification and erasure
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to object and to restriction of processing
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time

8. Cookies

Carouzel uses strictly necessary cookies for the service to function (authentication session), which are set without consent as they are essential.

With your explicit consent, Carouzel also sets analytics cookies through the following services:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) — traffic and behaviour statistics.
  • Google Tag Manager — measurement tag management.
  • PostHog — product analytics and user journeys.

None of these cookies are set until you accept them via the consent banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies, which will show the banner again.
